A glittering career sometimes hides some of the darkest stories beneath. A winner of the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after lots of effort and enormous amount of perseverance. The daughter of a single parent and a five children, Jones had a difficult and difficult childhood. Jones lived with her mom in the basement of a church. It was a life that required Jones to change schools and attend one of the schools every year up until her first day of her high school. Jones who was interested in track and field events that took place at Theodore Roosevelt the high school had to leave her mom to follow her passion. Her family was split up in high school so she could be focused on her academics. Jones is a cellist of the school's orchestra, and winner of Gatorade state track and field player of the year award was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Athletic Award at the close of the high school year. In the first year of college, Jones proved to be one of the top hurdlers. She won the 100 meter hurdles at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones was also part of the team that finished second in the 100 meter relay. In 2003 and the year 2004, Jones took home the indoor hurdles event at the NCAA Championship. Jones' track career started when she graduated in 2005. her education. She started training for a successful track career. She was a winner in each of in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track events in that same season.

Raised in Cape Town South Africa Brandt moved with her family to Auckland New Zealand in her teenage years. The local casting directors discovered her. Brandt assumed the character as Naevia in the Starz popular Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Her role was an instant hit for both the audience and producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix series Lucifer which had a 6 year run playing the fan favorite Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes listed Lucifer as the number one television show to watch for binge watching in 2021. Brandt can next be seen with Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the 6 episode limited Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. Brandt's other Netflix shows include animated adult show Captain Fall starring Jason Ritter as well as Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni. This will air in the month of July in 2023. Lesley-Ann Brandt, a South African actress born at Cape Town the 2nd December 1981. She's an extremely talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with the rest of her family, relocated in Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. The first time she worked at Auckland as a store manager after which she was promoted to an IT management consultant. Lesley started her career in commercials after numerous acting jobs. Her graduation was with a degree of acting in 2008. She graduated in 2009. furthered her formal training with the Meisner method of learning. Her first major acting work was with the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt has shown up in her role in the New Zealand TV drama series Shortland Street as a guest support role. In the following season, she was in the sci-fi thriller This Is Not My Life that is based upon anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as Naevia's character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
